Renogy 5 Strings Solar Combiner Box
Consolidates inputs from up to five solar panel strings into a single output, enabling centralized wiring for both On-Grid and Off-Grid installations. Each input can be equipped with a circuit breaker to protect individual strings and associated wiring.
Safety and protection
The unit accepts up to five 1P miniature circuit breakers and one 2P surge protection device to provide overload/short-circuit protection and lightning protection for the combined array. Note: breakers and surge protection device are not included.
Outdoor readiness and enclosure
Designed for outdoor environments, the enclosure features IP55 protection, a rain cap, and rubber door seals. The double-slope top helps shed wind and rain, while knockouts accommodate waterproof strain reliefs or conduits. Back mounting holes ensure secure installation and stable service access.
Installation and operation
The box includes a built-in standard DIN rail for rapid installation of protection devices, with a 5-pin busbar and two mechanical lugs for robust terminations. Maximum PV input/output voltage is 250 V DC and the rated current is 100 A.

Material and workmanship are warranted for 1 year. For troubleshooting and installation guidance, consult Renogy resources or contact Renogy support. Recommended busbar terminal torque is 26 in-lbs.
The Renogy 5 Strings Solar Combiner Box is the ideal solution to combine inputs from up to 5 strings of solar panels into a single output. Protection level at IP55. It is designed with a rain cap, the double slope design can be more effective to prevent from wind and rain, and makes the outdoor system use safer. The door is equipped with rubber seals which can prevent rain from entering the box.
The diagram detailed shows all components of the box, besides these, waterproof strain reliefs or conduit are reserved for installation.
The product offers a built-in standard DIN rail for easy installation. Mounting holes are reserved on the back for fixationto make sure the box is firm and stable.
When you lock the door, screw the black ring first and then lock it with the key. When you open it, use the key first, and then twist the black ring.

If the panels are grounded to the same rod, I suppose you do not need to add a second grounding. In the case of an electrical storm, the grounding of the combiner panel is of the upmost importance.
