The BigBattery 48V ETHOS 5.12kWh Stackable Battery (1 Module) is a modular energy storage solution designed for grid-tied residential power systems, solar installations, remote off-grid sites, and small commercial applications. Each 5.12kWh module serves as a scalable building block, enabling expansion up to 80kWh per ETHOS Control Box while preserving a consistent 48V system architecture.
Performance specifications include a 5.12kWh capacity integrated with a 100Ah cell bank (16S). Nominal voltage is 51.2V with a 48V system voltage; charging voltage range 55.6–57V; max charge current 100A; max continuous discharge current 100A; continuous power 5,120W; discharge peak current 150A for up to 5 seconds. Operating voltage spans 48–57V; temperature ranges cover charging 0–45°C, discharging -20–60°C, and storage (SoC>50%) -20–45°C for up to six months.
Safety and certifications: Tier 1 LiFePO4 cells provide inherent thermal stability and long cycle life. A built-in fire-extinguishing module enhances safety during abnormal conditions. The system relies on a modern BMS for real-time monitoring of voltage, current, and temperature. Hardware connectivity uses UL-certified connectors with CANBus and RS485 communications. The unit carries UL9540a, UL1973, and UN38.3 certifications and an IP65-rated enclosure.
Installation and maintenance: The module is designed for integration with the ETHOS Control Box and supports up to 16 parallel connections per control box.
